Located very near the Santa Elena Reserve, a peaceful remote area, surrounded by the nature of a pristine cloud Forest and wild life.

The Lodge is located on the top of a mountain, with a commanding view of the Arenal Volcano, and part of Lake Arenal , which are located about 10 km away and visible from the rooms and the Bar- Restaurant.

The Volcano "Arenal" is the second most active volcano in the world and it can be heard as well as seen from the Lodge (depending on weather conditions of course). The views of night time eruptions and lava flows are spectacular. At its base, Lake Arenal frames the view.

The Lodge is bounded by a private Nature Reserve of over 100 hectares (230 acres) of Primary Cloud Forest with private trails for hotel guests. A fantastic waterfall of about 30 feet is only about 600 meters from the lodge. You can see abundant wildlife diversity, including orchids and birds.

Due to the distance away from the central commercial area (approximately 25 minutes by car) and lack of cheap public transport in that area it is recommended to have a rental vehicle here if you plan on moving around or for groups, transport can be arranged.

Or for simply a quiet stay at the lodge, you have the restaurant and bar and the excellent trails to enjoy. In addition, the lodge is located close to the principal canopy tours which will typically provide free transport to and from the lodge. A great Horseback Tour is also available at the lodge which will take you through catwalks though the forests, and unbelievable views of Arenal Volcano and town. So really you can be totally self-sufficient here if you desire.
