The Hotel Belmar is a typical mountain hotel, consisting of two Austrian Chalet style buildings with wood paneling and French doors. We offer spectacular views and personalized service in a comfortable, rustic atmosphere combined with the beauty of the surrounding landscape.

Our philosophy is centered in nature, and delicious and nutritional meals. In appreciation of Costa Rica’s natural heritage, meals are homemade (bread, granola, marmalade) with ingredients produced within the country, most locally (dairy products, coffee, fruits, and vegetables). Our decoration features works of Costa Rican artists, handcrafters, and photographers.

The Hotel features two types of rooms:

The ones in the original building "The Chalet" offers rooms with balconies overlooking the landscape of Monteverde. Rustic charm with double beds, or queens size beds, or twin beds. Private bath with hot water.

The Main building features balconies overlooking the gulf of Nicoya and spectacular sunsets. All rooms have two queen size beds and a private bath with hot water.

Enjoy our new Jacuzzi, private self guided trail adjacent to the hotel in the surrounding forest, and our games room which includes a bar and pool table.
